“While not directly affiliated with Coastal Carolina University Athletics, the Coastal Sports Collective will dedicate its service for all Coastal Carolina student-athletes to capitalize on their name, image and likeness rights, providing them with the tools, resources and connections,” CCU President Dr. Michael T. Benson said in a statement.

The collective will be under the leadership of Executive Director Jimmy Feuger and Deputy Director Lena Schaeffner Rabon.

Feuger’s background includes time as a market manager at iHeart Media as well as being part of the Chanticleer Athletic Foundation. Rabon, meanwhile, was a former player on the school’s women’s golf team and has since had ten-year professional career while also being inducted into the school’s hall of fame.

In a press release, the group also acknowledged the previous NIL organization - The Teal Collective and said it “stands ready to empower student-athletes and position Coastal Carolina University as a leader in supporting the next generation of athlete entrepreneurs.”
