HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Carolina Forest High School started off the week with another threat made to the high school.
The school district revealed that a 6th bomb threat was made to the school on Monday.
Lisa Bourcier, a spokesperson for Horry County Schools, said the threat was addressed swiftly with little interruption to the school day.
Just before 2 p.m., the district issued an update that said the buildings had been checked and cleared and the school day would continue as normal.
“We want to thank our law enforcement partners for their continued professionalism and the assistance they have provided our school community,” Bourcier said in a statement.
The district added that the school gates have also been reopened and several police officer will remain on campus throughout the day to continue with their investigation.
“I want to commend our students and staff for their continued cooperation over the last few days and our parents for their understanding and ongoing patience as we all work together to help maintain a safe learning environment for our students,” Bourcier said.
This latest bomb threat comes after a series of threats were made to the school at the end of last week.

And then on Thursday night, a bomb threat was called into Carolina Forest High School.
Police said the Thursday morning calls were traced back to an internet server in India, which was also linked to other recent school threats in other parts of the country.
And then on Friday, authorities arrested two students who were connected to a bomb threat that was made on Thursday night. They are charged with communicating a school threat.
Horry County police said all of the threats made to the school are being viewed as separate cases and there are active investigations underway.
