Lake City lotto player wins big after asking clerks to pick ticket

LAKE CITY, SC (WMBF) - “I was happy.” That’s what a Lake City lottery player said after winning big off a $10 scratch-off.
It turns out the player didn’t even pick the ticket he bought. Instead, he asked the clerks at the Busy Corner convenience store in Lake City to choose his winning ticket.
The man took the ticket home, shocked to see he won $300,000.
“I always hoped I’d win, but I never thought it would happen,” he said. “This is going to better me and my family for years to come.”

Busy Corner got a commission of $3,000 for selling the ticket.
