MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Our forecast turns more active as we move into the weekend.

FRIDAY

We’ll see another round of summer-like warmth on Friday as afternoon highs climb to near 80° along the Grand Strand, closer to 90° inland of the Waterway. While most of the day is dry, we may see a storm or two develop during the afternoon. This activity will quickly end by sunset.

THIS WEEKEND

More clouds arrive on Saturday, but we’ll keep the warmth going for one more afternoon. Despite the clouds, rain chances look low outside of one or two afternoon downpours.

Much cooler weather arrives on Sunday as afternoon highs tumble into the upper 60s. Cloud cover thickens up with scattered showers throughout the day. The best chance of widespread rain arrives late in the day, mainly after sunset.
