MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Today’s gusty winds and downpours will be replaced by clearing skies for Friday through the weekend.

TONIGHT

A few lingering showers and possible an isolated storm will be possible early this evening. By late this evening, a cold front will push through the area and bring an end to the downpours as much drier weather returns. Skies will quickly clear overnight. Temperatures by Friday morning will be a bit cooler in the middle 50s.

FRIDAY

Sunny skies and a gusty wind are on tap for Friday. Morning temperatures in the 50s will rebound into the lower 70s by the afternoon. Winds will once again be gusty with gusts as high as 30 to 35 mph through much of the day.

BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND AHEAD

Dry air will guarantee a rain-free forecast for the weekend with mild temperatures. Sunny skies are on tap for both Saturday and Sunday. Afternoon temperatures on Saturday will reach the lower to middle 70s. By Sunday, mild weather begins to return with afternoon readings in the middle 70s at the beach and near 80 inland.

The warming trend will continue into next week. Coastal temperatures will reach the upper 70s to near 80 each day next week. Inland temperatures will climb all the way into the middle 80s. The forecast looks to remain rain-free for at least the next week.
