U.S. Army parachute team to perform at Myrtle Beach Classic

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - The Myrtle Beach Classic will see a special appearance from those serving our country.

Organizers with the tournament announced Tuesday that the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team will drop in at 5 p.m. on May 9. Officials aid the team will perform maneuvers in the air before landing on the beach area near the Dunes Golf and Beach Club.

Around 10-12 members of the parachute team are expected to participate and perform formations as well as baton passes as they make their way to solid ground.

The show is free for those with a ticket to Thursday’s session at the course. Tickets are still available on the event’s website.
