Car flipped in deadly Georgetown County crash, SCHP says

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - One person died after their car flipped in a Georgetown County crash last month.

Master Trooper Brandon Bolt with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the wreck happened on April 25 at around 6:15 p.m.

Bolt said a 2004 Honda sedan was headings south on Highway 17 when it ran off the right side of the road. struck an embankment and overturned.

The driver and a passenger were both taken to a hospital, with the latter succumbing to their injuries later.

Information on the condition of the driver was not made available. The passenger has also not been identified as of Wednesday.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
