Funeral arrangements announced for firefighter killed in Horry County crash

The funeral arrangements for the off-duty firefighter killed in a Saturday crash in Conway have been announced.

CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) - The funeral arrangements for the off-duty firefighter killed in a Saturday crash in Conway have been announced.

A service for 20-year-old Danny (DJ) Nobles, Jr., a Tabor City Fire Department firefighter, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Baptist Church. A burial will follow the service at the Myrtle Green Cemetery.

Before the service, a visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Worthington Funeral Home.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Patty Bellamy said Nobles died after a wreck around 1:30 a.m. on Highway 501 Business.

Nobles was a passenger in a car and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Bellamy.

The driver of the car was taken to a hospital, where they were being treated for injuries.

The Tabor City Fire Department posted a tribute to Nobles on its Facebook page after the crash.

Conway police are investigating the crash.
