Three arrested on drugs, gun charges after search warrant in Robeson Co. death investigation

All three are being held at the Robeson County Detention Center.

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WMBF) - Three men have been arrested in Red Springs during the execution of search warrants for two homes Monday night.

During the search, investigators seized various amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, guns, and drug paraphernalia.

24-year-old Fernando Bello Morales, Salvador Bello Morales, and Jacob Madrid Gomez, of Red Springs, were arrested during the search.

Fernando Bello Morales was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine, trafficking in cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Salvador Bello Morales was charged with discharging a weapon into an occupied property/vehicle.

Gomez was charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Investigators were granted the search warrants in connection to the investigation of the death of 52-year-old Catalina Morales-Carrios on April 30. Deputies responded to a home on Rennert Road in Shannon in reference to a person who had been shot. When they arrived on the scene they learned Morales-Carrios was taken in a personal car to the hospital where she later died from her injuries.

All three are being held at the Robeson County Detention Center.

RSCO said the investigation is ongoing and more charges are likely.
