WATCH: K9 officer hurt in line of duty ventures out with handler

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on the K9 officer who was injured in a stabbing on May 13.

K9 Officer Micky was injured in the line of duty while deputies were trying to serve a warrant near Wade Hampton Boulevard.

On Thursday, deputies said Micky is progressing well and can now take walks with his handler.

“This good boy is a fighter,” the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies said Micky received excellent medical care from the veterinary team.
