‘It came at the perfect time’: Bank errand turns into $300K lotto win for Myrtle Beach man

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – A Myrtle Beach man was on his way from the bank when he won six figures while playing the lottery.
The lotto winner’s wife asked him to go to the bank for her and while he was out he stopped at the Scotchman #3225 along Postal Way where he bought the winning lottery ticket.
He walked away with a $300,000 prize.
“I thought I read the ticket wrong,” the Myrtle Beach man told lottery officials. “I must have looked at it for 10 minutes.
He said he didn’t believe it was real until he cashed the ticket in in Columbia and had the check in his hand.
“It came at the perfect time,” the man said.
Well, he will be going straight back to the bank to deposit the check for retirement.
The Scotchman #3225 also received a $3,000 commission for selling the winning ticket.
