HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A Louisiana man now in custody in Horry County admitted to police he made threatening calls against Carolina Forest High School, according to an arrest warrant.

Trenton Brown, 19, of Baton Rouge, is charged with making a bomb threat or convey false info about a bomb threat, first offense.

Brown called the Myrtle Beach Police Department and CFHS several times between April 23 and April 24, threatening to harm students through the use of a “destructive device,” the warrant states.

Information gathered from these calls linked the caller back to Brown’s home, authorities said.

During a post-Miranda interview, Brown admitted to calling in the threats and other items collected for evidence backed up the confession, the warrant states.

These calls, which falsely claimed there were bombs on the CFHS campus, led to the school being completely evacuated on April 24.

Since then, CFHS has been the target of five other hoax threats.

Horry County police are investigating the threats as separate cases and active investigations.

Two CFHS students, who are juveniles, were also arrested in connection to one of the other threats.
