Pee Dee minor arrested on child sexual abuse material charges
MARLBORO COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A search warrant led to a minor facing child sexual abuse material charges in Marlboro County, officials say.
The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office carried out that search warrant Monday morning at the Hillcrest Apartment complex.
With help from other agencies, the sheriff’s office said they recovered multiple electronic devices that will be processed by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
The investigation ultimately led to the sheriff’s office charging the minor with dissemination of child pornography and possession of child pornography material, according to a news release.

The minor was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia.
Their name or exact age is not being released.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is still ongoing.
The South Carolina Probation Parole and Pardon Services, Homeland Security, SLED and ICE also responded to the investigation.
