Two more arrests made in child sexual battery investigation in Marion County
MARION COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - Two more people have been arrested in Marion County in an ongoing investigation involving sex crimes with children.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that 41-year-old Elizabeth Rhoda Holden, Hope Mills, N.C. and her son 21-year-old Robert Oren Helms III, of Marion, were arrested by its criminal investigation division.
Holden allegedly “did engage in and commit sexual battery” upon a 7-year-old and Helms allegedly “did engage in and commit sexual battery” with a 6-year-old victim.
Their arrests are connected to the arrest of Milton David Walters III, who was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under age 11 back on April 30.

Helms is charged with a count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and Holden is charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Holden was released on a $20,000 bond but Helms’ bond was denied and he remains in custody at the Marion County Detention Center.
