1 dead after Marion County crash, coroner says

MARION COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A crash in Marion County has turned deadly.
Marion County Coroner Jerry Richardson confirmed that one person died in the Wednesday morning crash.
The name of the victim has not been released yet.
Marion Fire Rescue was called just before 9 a.m. to Highway 76 eastbound near Bubba Road.
South Carolina Highway Patrol said a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer were heading east on Highway 76 when another pickup truck heading west on the highway crossed over the median and crashed into the other two vehicles.
The driver of the second pickup truck died at the scene. No one else was injured.

Marion Heavy Rescue 10 responded, along with Marion County EMS and Marion Rural Fire Department.
The crash impacted traffic in the area for a time.
