Coroner’s office identifies 18-year-old motorcyclist killed in Horry County crash

One person died in a late Sunday night crash near the Wampee area, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - One person died in a late Sunday night crash near the Wampee area, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded to the motorcycle crash around 11:10 p.m. on Highway 90 at Pint Circle, where they took one person to the hospital, but that person later died.

A 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle going west on the highway and a 2007 Mercedes turning left onto Pint Circle collided, according to Lance Cpl. Brittany Glover.

The motorcyclist died at the hospital and the driver of the Mercedes was not hurt, Glover said.

Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard identified 18-year-old Logan Click from Little River as the motorcyclist. She said he died from multiple traumatic injuries.
