Horry County to hold public test of voting equipment ahead of SC primaries
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - Horry County will be testing its voting equipment ahead of next month’s presidential primaries.
The Horry County Board of Elections will hold a public test from Jan. 16-19 for equipment that will be used for Feb. 3′s Democratic Presidential Preference Primary in South Carolina. The Republican primary is scheduled to take place on Feb. 24.
Anyone who would like to attend the test is asked to call 843-915-5440 and schedule an appointment.
The election board will also hold its monthly meeting on Jan. 19 at its office on Fourth Avenue in Conway.
Changes to some precincts
Horry County is also set to combine some precinct locations in the Myrtle Beach area for next month’s primaries.
Locations within Myrtle Beach city limits that will be impacted include Coastal Lane #2, Dunes #2, Jet Port #1, Myrtlewood #2, Myrtlewood #3, Ocean Forest #2 and Ocean Forest #3.
